«My Life In A Bag» is the title of the album Olav Elstad released recently.
This is his second album after the debut album "From The Place Where I Belong" which was released in the fall of 2016.
Olav Elstad is situated in Northern Norway, and for most people he is known as the guitarist of the acoustic Blues Duo “Fleines & Elstad”.
In 2007 they won the Northern Norwegian championship in Blues music, which led to several gigs in the region. They have played in most of the cities and towns in Northern Norway.
Elstad is now releasing a solo album with tracks that are mostly “guitar driven”, with the rich sound from his twelve string guitar.
The music is pop/rock inspired with elements taken from the early 70’s until today.
In several of the songs, the lyrics have a dark and eerie feel, which are inspired by his thoughts, experiences, and observations.
Elstad has written and composed all of the tracks, and he sings and plays all the instruments. Two of the ten songs are instrumental.
The recordings are mainly done in his home studio where he also mixed them.
The album will only be available in digital form, and you can listen or buy it on most of the streaming services.
